The story of a predatory Indian businessman Adar Poonawala

In Asia, News & Views, Society, Uncategorised, World

Adar Poonawalla exploits India’s Covid surge to jack up vaccine prices, collects $235 million more from Indian government as advance payment for vaccine supply, flees to UK to “escape pressure,” announces £240 million investment in UK.

It is unconscionable for this AstraZeneca contract manufacturer to sell vaccines to private hospitals in his own country at 2.7 times the $3 per dose price he set for supplying COVAX. The irony is that safety concerns have led some nations to ban or restrict this vaccine’s use.
