For tens of millions of followers of the Indian cricket team, Crash in the Semi-Final is a heartbreaking experience. Especially for those in the 18-25 age group youngster in High school and college.
Make no mistake about the eternal optimism of this GenNext segment of Indian society. It was this very social segment which was brainwashed by the Whatsapp group poison propaganda of the BJP RSS into fantasy zone for the ascent of Narendra Modi. Everything these youngsters viewed and read about Modi, their mental health was increasingly wired with the myth of Modi and associated magic surrealism.
They voted Modi and the BJP to power twice in two successive General Elections, 2014 and 2019 with high hopes of conquering the bastions of heaven under the hallucinating chimera of Hindutva (Gau,, Gobar and Mandir – Masjid miracle.
I understand the sentiment of these impressionable minds. Cricket had been like an opium for them. More lethal injection than religion. Cricket provided them with the opportunity to laugh or cry beyond the boundaries of caste cancer and religious fundamentalism. They cheered Sami, Kuldip Yadav, Dhoni, Kohli or Sharma as United Indian together in awe and pride for national flag.
Unfortunately, India has crashed out of the path of Glory on both occasions in the two terms of BJP Modi rule. Manmohan Singh led UPA government was lucky charm for fans when Dhoni Tendulkar Gambhir led team emerged champion in 2011 edition. In 1983 Kapil Dev led team won the World Cup first time at Lord’s when Indira Gandhi was Prime Minister of India.
National Glory for Indians on global scale has been accomplished under secular and left of Centre govt, not under caste supremacists, Hindutva honking communal fascist government of the BJP.
Think over it, youngsters. Which India you desire for laurels?
India won all their world cups when the Congress led Coalition government of socialist parties was in power at the Centre .
Since BJP took over….
