Ailing Shinzo Abe’s resignation as Japan’s longest-serving PM ends an era of stable Japanese politics and accentuates a state of flux in the Indo-Pacific.
Despite winning two-thirds majority in 2017, Abe failed to reach his signature goal—revising Japan’s US-imposed Constitution.
Japan is truly a pacifist society. The govt will have to change public discourse and opinion on the matter of being self reliant in defence of the nation. I wish Mr Abe a full and timely recovery.
A good news for Imperialist China and Bad News for India.
